alda
During a residency in Iceland, I received a collection of wooden forms from local artist and woodworker Erlendur Finnbogi Magnússon. I fell under the spell of these undulating forms and the way they can nest within each other. I combined the wood with black-and-white prints of photographs I took in the Icelandic landscape. While playfully positioning the pieces, new landscapes come into being.
