日本の写真

Ten of my favorite Japanese photographs. In no particular order. Taken in different times by different photographers, each with their own intentions.

They have two things in common: a. They are made by a Japanese photographer and b. I love them. Would these two factors - the Japanese nationality combined with my taste -  automaticly result in photographs with such a deep intensity?

These ten photographs appear to share a bond. But then again, that’s what photographs do; if you put them together in a series, book, exhibition, website or anywhere, they do something to each other. There is no longer this photograph and that photograph, there are only these photographs and none of them is the same as they were before they were confronted with the other.
