Projections

Tonight I open my solo exhibition in Upominki Rotterdam. All images in the exhibition (both photo and video) are projections.

I never made a conscious choice to use only projected light. However, in all the works I needed the images to change in a subtle manner. The faces have to appear in different combinations. The well has to loom out of the darkness. The light has to transform the trees. Also, the images need to relate to the space they are in.

So there they are, in all shapes and sizes, on the wall, on the floor, on suspended screens, in colour, in black and white, created by three slide projectors and three beamers. Projections.
